Dierct-to-home operator TataSky objected on Monday to a plea by broadcaster Turner International (India) to excuse it from a case involving its partner Zee and the Tata-Star joint venture.
Differences on pricing of channels persisted between south India-based broadcaster Sun Group and DTH operator TataSky, which feels that rates quoted by Sun were fit for international channels but not regional.
"After the expiry of our agreement in March, we are still providing them signals as we are involved in another litigation with them. Taking advantage of the situation they are doing whatever they want with our signals under the direction of TDSAT," ESPN Software India Managing Director RC Venkateish told PTI. "We will be moving the Delhi high court against TataSky on two-three specific aspects," Venkateish said, however, declining to share the details.
During proceedings at Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal, counsels appearing for both sides today informed the bench that the issue has been resolved and requested to dispose of the petition.

The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal, headed by Justice Arun Kumar, took a serious note of Sun TV's non-compliance of its interim order of March 19 and said that Sun Tv was acting unfairly in this matter.
TataSky contended before the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission that Dish TV was indulging in deceptive advertisements as the set-top boxes being given out by Dish TV were not for free and was in violation with the MRTP Act, 1969. Admitting the petition of the TataSky, a 80:20 joint venture between Tata Sons and broadcast major Star India, the MR in two weeks.
Dish TV and Tata Sky, the country's two direct-to-home (DTH) companies, are expected to post losses in excess of Rs 1,400 crore for 2007-08 in their quest to expand the market by offering set-top boxes at subsidised rates. The companies have over five million subscriber homes across the country collectively.
The Supreme Court refused to give any interim relief to Zee-Turner on Wednesday.
Videocon plans a foray into the direct to home business. The company has applied for the DTH licence and is expected to start services by next year, government sources said.
Broadcast tribunal Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal asked Sun Tv on Tuesday to produce a copy of the stay order granted by Madras high court on its interim order directing it to share signals with direct-to-home operator TataSky.
