As the security forces were engaged in the exchange of firing with holed-up terrorists, a large number of protesters started pelting stones at the law enforcing agencies.
Farooq Ahmad Dar was tied to a jeep by the army as a shield against the stone pelters.

The party delegation is on a two-day visit to Kashmir to attend a series of meetings on the current situation in the valley.
The briefing comes ahead of the parliament session beginning Monday.
