Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has been given the additional charge of Puducherry.
The Prime Minister's Office has given the nod to questioning of Puducherry Lt Governor Iqbal Singh by the Enforcement Directorate for his alleged links with suspected money launderer Hasan Ali Khan.
Days after his ouster as Puducherry's Lt Governor, Virendra Kataria on Friday claimed he was removed because he exposed corruption in the Union Territory government.
The ban order has been issued by Puducherry Lt Governor Kiren Bedi, a retired Indian Police Service officer.
Bedi had cancelled the order of Narayanasamy banning the use of social media for official communication.
After forcing some governors to quit, the Narendra Modi government on Friday sacked Lt Governor of Puducherry Virendra Kataria, in the first such action against political appointees of the United Progressive Alliance regime.
