Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday expressed 'full confidence' in the Indian authorities in ensuring the safety of Israelis and Jews in India following a blast close to the country's embassy in New Delhi.
Israeli Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi will be on a three-day visit to India from Tuesday during which he will meet the security top brass in the country and seek to give a further push to the burgeoning bilateral defence ties.
A blast took place outside the Israeli Embassy in the heart of Lutyens' Delhi on Friday evening, a fire service official said.
The US is learnt to have asked Israel to sever ties with China, especially in areas with security risks.
It is well known that Israel would welcome a diplomatic relationship with Pakistan and feelings of a section of the Pakistani military were likewise.
