India's women boxers Nitu (48kg) and Manisha (57kg) advanced to the quarter-finals of the IBA World Championships in Istanbul, after registering contrasting victories on Saturday.
Bhagwan has been on unpaid leave for the last three years to train Nitu, a two-time World Youth champion.
Nitu has been in supreme form throughout the tournament, winning her first three bouts by RSC (referee stops contest).
Nikhat Zareen, Lovlina Borgohain, Nitu Ghanghas and Saweety Boora will look to bag gold at the Women's World Boxing Championship.
In the rematch of last year's quarter-finals, Nitu and Balkibekova went all guns blazing in the first round. However, the Kazakh was dominant and took the round 2-3.
