A 22-year-old youth was stabbed allegedly by his co-worker following a dispute in northeast Delhi's Harsh Vihar area, police said on Thursday.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening near a paint factory in Pratap Nagar. The reasons behind the attack are yet to be ascertained, they said.
Police Investigation Underway
Multiple teams have been deployed to trace and arrest the accused, who remains absconding, they added.
The police received information regarding the stabbing incident, and a team rushed to the spot. However, the injured person had already been taken to GTB Hospital by residents, a police officer said.
The victim, Manoj, told police that he was returning home from his workplace on Wednesday afternoon when a fellow worker attacked him with a sharp object and fled from the scene.
Based on the victim's statement, a case was registered at Harsh Vihar police station under Section 109 (attempt to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
CCTV Footage Being Scanned
The police said CCTV footage from the area is being scanned, and efforts are underway to identify the escape route used by the accused after the attack. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
