Forest officials and activists of Hatibandhu –- an NGO -- had rescued a 14.4-foot-long python in Assam’s Nagaon district.

Locals of Salna area spotted the python and immediately informed local forest officials.

A youth environmentalist and a team from the forest department rushed to the area and rescued the python weighing about 30 kg.

Later the python was released in nearby forest area.
