PIX: Deepti Naval, Javed Akhtar, Supriya Pathak at Farooque Sheikh's condolence meet

Veteran actor Farooque Sheikh, who passed away on December 28 while holidaying in Dubai with his family, was given a tearful send-off by his many friends and admirers from the film industry.

After the late actor was laid to rest beside his mother's grave in Andheri, a western Mumbai suburb, on the evening of December 30, friends and family of the late actor proceeded to his residence for the condolence meet. 

Deepti Naval -- the late actor's costar in eight films -- attended the condolence meet at his Bandra residence on December 30.

Actresses Meeta Vashisht and Supriya Pathak were also spotted.

Pathak had worked with Farooque Sheikh in Sagar Sarhadi's poignant 1981 film Bazaar.

Farhan and Adhuna Akhtar (in specs) arrive for the condolence meet.

Javed Akhtar, who had been bed-ridden until recently following a temporary paralysis, turned up for the prayer meet.

Sheikh's costar in acclaimed films like Lorie, Ek Pal and Anjuman, Shabana Azmi (not in the picture) was also present.
