Nothing succeeds like success, especially in Bollywood.

Over the years, there have been many actor-director jodis who have entertained audiences film after film.

Such has been their track record that everyone wants to see them together again.

Joginder Tuteja looks at such winning jodis, who have made Rs 100 crore movies and are returning for an encore.

Farhan Akhtar-Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra,Toofaan
Past hit: Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
Box office collection: Rs 109 crore

When Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra decided to make a film on Milkha Singh's life, Farhan Akhtar seemed like an unlikely choice.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag was a huge success.

Now, Farhan and Mehra return with another film with a sports backdrop, Toofaan, which traces the life of a boxer.

Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand, Fighter
Past hit: War
Box office collection: Rs 318 crore
Past hit: Bang Bang

When Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand did Bang Bang, the film just missed entering the Rs 200 crore club.

Their next action film War scored a triple century.

Duggu and Sid will take their association to the next level with another action film, Fighter.

Ranveer Singh-Rohit Shetty, Cirkus
Past hit: Simmba
Box office collection: Rs 240.31 crore

Rohit Shetty included Ranveer Singh in his cop universe and made a blockbuster with Simmba.

Now, the duo is making a film in a totally different genre -- comedy -- Cirkus.

The shooting is over and one waits to see a big masala entertainer this Christmas.

Salman Khan-Sajid Nadiadwala, Kick 2
Past hit: Kick
Box office collection: Rs 232 crore

Sajid Nadiadwala was pretty much an accidental director when Salman Khan asked him to play the dual role of being a producer as well as director on Kick.

Now, one waits to see him direct the sequel.

The film goes on floor after Salman-Sajid's next film, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.

Akshay Kumar-Farhad Samji, Bachchan Pandey
Past hit: Housefull 3
Box office collection: Rs 109 crore
Past hit: Housefull 4
Box office collection: Rs 208.50 crore

Akshay Kumar has had a log association with director-brothers Sajid-Farhad.

While Housefull 3 was directed by the duo, the next installment of the franchise saw Housefull 4 saw Farhad Samji take charge (though portions of the film were directed by Sajid Khan).

Farhad goes solo with the action comedy, Bachchan Pandey once again.

Kiara Advani-Raj Mehta, Jug Jug Jeeyo
Past hit: Good Newwz
Box office collection: Rs 205.14 crore

Director Raj Mehta delivered a Rs 200 crore club success with Good Newwz and he repeats his leading lady Kiara Advani in his next film, Jug Jug Jeeyo.

For Kiara too, this is a good solo outing since in Good Newwz she had to share credits with Kareena Kapoor Khan.

With Varun Dhawan in the lead, Jug Jug Jeeyo is a family entertainer.

Ranbir Kapoor-Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra
Past hit: Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Box office collection: Rs 188.92 crore

Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji first teamed up in Wake Up Sid followed by the big blockbuster, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Their next film Brahmastra has been in the making for a long time.

If not for the pandemic, it would have released by now.

The film will see Ranbir opposite Alia Bhatt for the first time, and Amitabh Bachchan as well.

Tiger Shroff-Ahmed Khan, Heropanti 2
Past hit: Baaghi 2
Box office collection: Rs 166 crore

If not for the pandemic, Housefull 3 would have comfortably gone past the Rs 125 crore mark.

Still, before this movie Tiger Shroff had made Heropanti 2 with Director Ahmed Khan and that was a blockbuster too.

Now the duo is already working on Heropanti 2.

Ajay Devgn-Indra Kumar, Thank God
Past hit: Total Dhamaal
Box office collection: Rs 154.23 crore

Total Dhamaal was a full-on comedy and a true multi-starrer.

With Ajay Devgn leading the show in the Indra Kumar directorial, the actor-director jodi is now coming up with Thank God.

The film also features Sidharth Malhotra and is said to be a heartwarming comedy.

Sanjay Dutt-Karan Malhotra, Shamshera
Past hit: Agneepath
Box office collection: Rs 115 crore

Sanjay Dutt was terrifying as the antagonist in Agneepath.

The same is expected in Shamshera where Director Karan Malhotra will present him as an evil force like never before.

It would be interesting to see his face off with Ranbir Kapoor.
