In debutante director Sreebala K Menon’s Love 24 X 7, Dileep plays a news anchor named Roopesh Nambiar.
“I have done some homework before doing this role, watching the styles of several news anchors. I realise how tough it is to present the news live,” says Dileep.
Nikhila Vimal plays the female lead.
Suhasini and Sasi Kumar are in supporting roles.
The shooting of the film is currently underway in Kochi. A huge set has been created to resemble the interiors of a news broadcaster.
Maruti, the star
In scenarist Sethu’s directorial debut, the main cast consist of a dashing young hero, two heroines and a sexy Maruti.
Yes, you heard right! The film is about how the coming of the Maruti changed the lives of people in Kerala.
“I believe that it was the coming of the Maruti that started this modern phase for us Indians. I spent hours just watching its beauty when someone parked a brand new Maruti near our house.
“In my story, the car has a crucial role. It all became more meaningful when I read a report about superstar Mammootty expressing his desire to buy India’s first Maruti 800, which lies unused in Delhi,” said Sethu to rediff.com
Miss Kerala, Gayathri Suresh to make her movie debut
Miss Kerala, Gayathri Suresh, is the heroine of director Thomas Sebastian’s Jamna Pyari. Shooting is currently underway in Palakkad.
Kunchacko Boban, who has completed the shooting of Sugeeth’s Madhura Naranga, is the hero.
Kunchacko plays Vasoottan, an auto driver, while Gayathri is Parvathy.
Jaison Elamgulam is the producer.Anishlal is behind the camera and Gopi Sunder scores the music.
