Sensex hits a new high of 7,756

The Sensex has gained 87 points to hit a new high of 7,756.

The Nifty gained 34 points to close at 2,352.

Infosys, TCS, ITC, HDFC, Reliance, Maruti, Cipla and Dr Reddy's were among the gainers.

Wipro, Bharti, HLL, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Ranbaxy declined.
