Hyundai Motor India on Monday increased the prices of its flagship Santro car by up to Rs 12,000 with immediate effect on account of rising input costs.
"The retail prices have been raised in the range of Rs 7,000-12,000 across all the four variants," the company said.
It said the hike has been necessitated by a variety of 'cost-push factors,' which impacted production during the second half of 2005.
The increase on the Santro ranges from 1.6-2.1 per cent across all variants.
As per the revised prices (all ex-showroom Delhi), the Santro variants will be available between Rs 339,000 and Rs 436,000.
