ITC Q2 net rises to Rs 572.33 cr

Tobacco major, ITC Ltd on Friday reported a 17.26 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 572.33 crore (Rs 5.72 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 as compared to Rs 488.07 crore for the year-ago period.

The total income has increased 22.06 per cent to Rs 2261.21 crore (Rs 22.61 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 from Rs 1852.48 crore (Rs 18.52 billion)

in the same period last fiscal, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
