US-based PerformanceRetail, Inc, which provides technology solutions for the retail industry, said it had picked India's Infosys Technologies Ltd to provide it services in product development and maintenance.
The privately held firm, specialising in helping convenience stores, said in a statement on Wednesday that Bangalore-based Infosys would help it provide global support and enhance the cost effectiveness of its flagship product, InSite.
No financial figures were mentioned.
Infosys is due to announce its results for the quarter ended March 31 before trading begins on Indian stock exchanges on Thursday.
The Indian software bellwether is also expected to announce its revenue forecast for the new year.
Infosys's American Depositary Receipts, each of which represents half a domestic share, fell 4.7 per cent to $59.33 overnight on the Nasdaq before the results.
