The United States-based IT consulting and services company Infogain on Tuesday announced plans to open its third development centre in India by the end of the third quarter of 2004.
The centre would be located in Noida (Uttar Pradesh) over 90,000 sq ft; it would consist of two buildings designed to house about 600 software professionals, a company statement said.
It will provide expert competencies in product engineering services, application management, CRM, enterprise solution, integration and business intelligence, it said.
The company's chairman S K Nanda said it would invest $3 million in the new facility, to be operational by September. "We would continue to make investments in our Indian operations, as India is critical to Infogain's overall success."
The company is exploring opportunities to set up another development centre in southern and western India, he said.
"Infogain is witnessing 100 per cent increase in its total employee strength annually. We are looking forward to add 300 people every year to become a 1,000-workforce company by the end of 2006", Nanda added.
