Hewlett-Packard sees tremendous market opportunity in India for high-end servers, especially in the government and public sectors, and the company on Wednesday launched a new entry-level NonStop server system in this country.
"These customers (in the government and public sectors) are investing in IT infrastructure to meet their needs for the longer term. NonStop servers can serve as a critical building block for these projects," said Pallab Talukdar, director, Marketing & Alliances, HP India.
Some of the $90
billion HP's key NonStop customers in India are SBI, Bombay Stock Exchange and ministry of home affairs, company officials said.
"NonStop servers are a very strategic part of our server business. We offer more than 250 partner solutions worldwide on this platform," Talukdar said.
HP said the new entry-level NonStop server system, HP Int industries.
