GlobeOp Financial Services, a provider of automated support services and risk reporting for hedge funds, is to commence operations in India by opening an office in Mumbai.
The Mumbai office would complement their offices in New York and London, giving the company 24-hour processing capabilities and clients the ability to tap resources across three continents, GlobeOp said in a release on Monday.
The firm is actively seeking to hire chartered accountants and software engineers as well as others with experience in financial services, it said.
GlobeOp chairman and chief executive officer Hans Hufschmid said: "We see our India office playing a critical role. It is one more element in the company's mission to give clients the flexibility to operate `virtual offices' and manage funds from anywhere in the world."
