Forex reserves slip to $129.7 billion

Foreign exchange reserves declined $1.02 billion to $129.697 billion for the week ended December 10, 2004 when compared with $130.717 billion in the previous week, according to the weekly supplement released by the Reserve Bank of India on Saturday.

Foreign currency assets declined $1.01 billion to $123.751 billion. Gold reserves and SDRs were unchanged at $4.540 billion and $5 million, respectively.

The Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF declined $10 million to $1.401 billion.
