Red Herring, a US-based media company focussed on technology business, released on Wednesday a list of 200 private Asian technology companies that would vie for the annual Red Herring Asia 100 awards. The short-list has been drawn out of 600 private technology companies in the Asia-pacific region.

Naukri.com, MindTree Consulting, MakeMyTrip, 24/7 Customer, AppLabs, Hurix Systems and Toonz Animation are some of the shortlisted companies.

The final list would be announced at Red Herring's Meet Asia's Innovators' Summit at Hong Kong during August 28 to 30.

Red Herring said the awards are given to top 100 Asian technology companies on the basis of management strength, market size, investor record, customer acquisition and financial health.
