NRI steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal is likely to buy the costliest mansion in London, worth 117 million pounds ($230 million), for his son Aditya.

The Property on Palace Green, one of the most expensive houses in the world, is close to Kensington Palace Gardens where Mittal has a mansion worth 57 million pounds, The Sun, a tabloid reported on Friday.

According to The Sun, Mittal is close to exchanging contracts with owner Noam Gottesman, a US-born financier.

The 32-year-old Aditya, chief financial officer of the ArcellorMittal, has been searching for a property near Mittal's house.
