November 27, 2003 17:37 IST

ICICI OneSource, one of India's largest third-party provider of business process outsourcing services, would open a 1,000-seat contact centre in Mumbai in February.

The company currently has three facilities in Bangalore and one facility in Mumbai, according to a company release on Thursday.

ICICI OneSource has added a number of "prominent United States and United Kingdom companies" to its portfolio of clients during the second half of 2003, but declined to name them.

The current headcount of ICICI OneSource stands at over 4,100 staff and is expected to surpass 5,000 early next year, the release said.

Since July this year, the company has been selected to deliver services to six "household names" in the UK and US, it said.
