Oberois plan luxury cruisers in Kerala

The Oberois have become the first Indian chain of hotels to launch the country's first luxury cruiser in the backwaters of Kerala.

Named 'M V Vrinda', the cruiser would have elegant interiors air-conditioned cabins with attached bathrooms and most modern amenities and would be offered by the Oberoi Hotels and Resorts to foreign and Indian tourists as part of a special package, the group said in a release in New Delhi on Thursday.

The package available from November 1 to April 30 next year, would include two days each in Trident Hotel at Kochi as also on 'M V Vrinda', besides excursions along the backwaters around Alleppey, known as the Venice of the East, and cultural activities, it said.
