The woman I admire is my mom, Chithra Kamalavasagam.
She is 64 years old and lives in Bengaluru.
She gave me the gift of education and has instilled great values like dedication, honesty, hard work and a great attitude towards life.
She hailed from a small town in Tamil Nadu. Despite being the class topper, she was unable to pursue her education beyond high school.
She always let us know that education is the greatest asset that parents can give their kids.
She shaped not one but all three of her daughters into successful engineers in the 90's when education for girls was considered a liability.
While pursuing my working professional MBA in the US and later when I took the role of director of engineers at my current company, she was my pillar of support, inspiration and motivation to keep going ahead.
She is my role model for motherhood.
She taught me to be there for my kids, shower unconditional love and to inspire them to go great lengths.
She is a great human being as well.
I am amazed by her kindness and giving attitude to her fellow human beings.
She has inspired me to be at my best.
