Are you one of those who thinks models starve themselves to look good?

At the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort, model Rajashree Singha revealed to Rediff.com's Anita Aikara what she really eats in a day.

And it's way more than you might expect.

Do models really starve?

To an extent that is true. We really need to cut down on the sugar and calories.

How often do you cheat?

I like having fast food. So I cheat twice a week.

The one food you won't give up for modelling?

Dumplings and rice! I am crazy about dumplings.

I can't have them so often but if given a chance, I would eat them all day long.

What's your diet like?

I can't eat in one go. That's why I don't put on weight easily.

For breakfast, I have cereals and fruits.

Lunch would be two spoons of rice and a salad. I love rice because I am from the Northeast.

Dinner is one roti with salad.

What is your cheat food?

Donuts. I have one donut on my cheat days.

How often do you cheat?

Twice a week.

What's your diet advice?

No one can give up eating completely. But you can definitely avoid cheating.

Trying cheating only one two days and eat right.

Discipline yourself to eat light. Avoid oily food like biryanis. Stay away from sugar.

Even back home, I just have thupka, which has boiled veggies.

Did you ever consider giving up modelling?

Never! Modelling lets me be wild and free.

It gives me the chance to travel the world.

At times, the pressure and expectations during a show can be a challenge to handle.

Then there is the no sugar rule!

Modelling does need a lot of energy because it can be so tiring. But it is fun.

What do you do when you are not modelling?

I work out and spend time pursuing my hobbies like painting and sketching.

What's your skin care routine?

I need to take care of my skin.

When I walk the ramp, I get really tired and my skin looks dehydrated. So I spend time with my skin routine.

A celeb you would like to date

Gerard Butler.

What brings a smile on your face?

Interacting with sweet people.

Even small things like giving food to poor people makes me smile.

What's the most precious thing in your wardrobe?

Perfume. I have all brands.

How long does it take you to decide what to wear?

It takes me a long time. So I decide what to wear the previous day itself.
