The Windies rallied from 83 for 7 as Jason Holder and Romario Shepherd put on an 89-run partnership to lift them past the 175-run mark.
Shepherd brought up his 50 off the last ball of the innings.
Lungi Ngidi was the pick of the bowlers for South Africa with 3 for 30.

Bosch is back in the attack and he starts with a yorker and Shepherd plays it to mid-wicket for a single.
Holder then plays the ball to deep mid-wicket for another single.

Holder then gets cheeky, comes to the off side and plays the ball to short fine for a single.
A miscommunication then has Holder run out for 49 off 31. That breaks the 89-run stand.
Ngidi is back in the attack and he starts with three dots and three slower balls in a row.
Shepherd then throws his bat at it and the ball flies off the edge to third man for a four. That is a world record partnership for the 8th wicket - 84 runs off 51 balls.
Shepherd then takes a single before a dot to end the over as 5 runs come off it.
Jansen is back in the attack and the slower wide ball is lofted over long on for a six!
