Bangladesh take on Pakistan in virtual SF

image

Welcome to the coverage of the Asia Cup 2025 Super Fours match between Bangladesh and Pakistan in Dubai on Thursday.

It is do-or-die for both team as Bangladesh and Pakistan face off in a 'virtual semi-final' to decide India's opponent in Sunday's final.

India qualified for the final after winning their first two Super Fours match against Pakistan and Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Pakistan and Bangladesh are both on two points each from two games.

Pakistan suffered a six-wicket thrashing at the hands of India in their first Super Fours match before they bounced back to trounce Sri Lanka by five wickets.

Bangladesh started their Super Fours campaign with a confident four-wicket victory against Sri Lanka but a poor batting performance saw them lose to India by 41 runs.

Bangladesh, who are playing for the second day in a row, will need to find answers to their batting woes as Pakistan boast of a good variety in both their spin and pace department.

Captain Litton Das's absence against India because of an injury proved costly for Bangladesh and it remains to be seen if he plays in the must-win game against Pakistan.
