India beat South Africa by an innings and 137 runs to win the 2nd Test in Pune and take a 2-0 lead in the 3-match series.

This is India's biggest win over the Proteas.

With this win, India have sealed their 11th consecutive Test series win at home, breaking a record that was twice held by Australia.

Following on, South Africa were all out for 189 in their second innings in the final session of day four.

India scored a mammoth 601 for five in their first innings with skipper Virat Kohli leading the side with a majestic double hundred.

Opener Dean Elgar (48) was the top-scorer for the visitors while pacer Umesh Yadav (3/22) and left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja (3/52) took three wickets apiece for India.

The third and final Test will be played in Ranchi from October 19.

Nortje is the new man in as Jadeja continues.

Jadeja bowls to Maharaj. After a dot first ball, Maharaj is caught in front of the stumps. Big shout, umpire raises the finger. Maharaj takes the review but loses it as the review shows the ball pitched in line and would have hit the wickets. Maharaj out for 22.

Rabada is the new man in and Umesh bowls it in that corridor just outside off.

After a dot, Umesh bowls a bouncer that Rabada comfortably ducks under.

Next ball, Rabada leans into the drive and gets a four through covers to get off the mark.

Next ball, wide one and Rabada gets the edge and Rohit takes a nice low catch in the slips. South Africa nine down now.

Umesh again bowls down the leg side and this time again he gets fortunate as Philander gets the nick as he tickles the ball past his pads. Saha takes the catch, Philander is out for 37 and South Africa lose their 8th wicket.

Jadeja continues and after four dots, Philander punches it down, Jadeja fails to gather the ball and the batsmen take a single off the misfield.

Last ball of the over nearly had Maharaj who is beaten. One from the over.

Umesh continues and he is spraying the ball in the leg side. No stress for Maharaj.

That is a maiden.

After 4 dots and a play and miss, Maharaj plays an exquisite shot. Short ball and he pulls it through mid-wicket for a four.

That brings up the 50-run partnership between Philander and Maharaj.

The players take the field after tea and what do we see, Kohli to open the bowling after tea with his slow medium pacers.

After two dots, Philander drives, in the air wide of the cover fielder and that is a boundary.

South Africa lost three wickets in the 2nd session but again Philander and Maharaj continue to frustrate the Indians.

The visitors are still 152 runs behind India's 1st innings total after following on.

Once again it was India who dominated the morning session, picking up four wickets after Ishant struck in the first over itself, taking out Markram for a pair.

Ashwin picked the wickets of Du Plessis and Elgar after De Bruyn was excellently caught behind by Saha.

Bavuma and De Kock will have a lot of work to do for the Proteas post lunch as they face a huge task ahead to save the Test and the series.

Welcome to the updates on Day 4 of the 2nd Test between India and South Africa from Pune.

India enforce the follow on.

They will look to seal their 11th consecutive home win in Tests on Sunday.

India's bowlers will have been tired from all the grinding that Maharaj and Philander did last to frustrate the hosts.

South Africa were eventually all out for 275 at stumps on Day 3 with India having a lead of 356. Interesting day of cricket ahead.
