Chennai need 23 runs off the final over. James Faulkner to bowl. Ashwin clears the fence off the first ball. Just two singles off the next two balls. The pressure tells as Faulkner gets Ashwin (46) out caught by Binny off the fourth ball.

Ashwin's 27-ball knock comprised of three boundaries and an equal number of sixes and he helped Morris add 73 runs (off just 43 balls) for the eighth wicket.

The fifth ball is a dot and only a single comes off the final ball.

Rajasthan win by 14 runs to not only book their place in the final but also keep their impeccable home record intact.

R Ashwin albeit isn't willing to give up without a fight. He hits successive boundaries of Faulkner and a six each of Cooper and Watson, the former being the 1,000th six of the competition.

He and Chris Morris are putting up a nice little partnership for the eighth wicket. It's now worth more than 50 runs, the best of the Chennai innings.

But Chennai need much more, 37-odd in their last two overs.

However, Pravin Tambe's dismissal of S Badrinath (8), ou stumped, triggers off a domino effect. Shukla has MS Dhoni (3) out leg before while Tambe also traps Bravo (3) plumb in front.

Watson has Jadeja (2) caught behind soon after and Tambe has has Raina (29) caught by substitute Ashok Menaria at mid-off, it is all over for Chennai.

Rahane and Watson have combined really well for the fourth wicket. A boundary by Watson, off Holder, helps it get past the 50-run mark.

The partnership albeit is cut short by Morris, who has Watson (32) caught by Holder. The Australian's 23-ball knock was inclusive of four hits to the fence and he helped Rahane add 59 runs (off just 39 balls) for the fourth wicket.

Brad Hodge comes out to bat. Holder has him cleaned up for 11.

Dwayne Bravo picks up three wickets in his final over, including Rahane (70), as Rajasthan manage 159 for eight in their 20 overs.

Rahane smashes the third for a six inside out over cover and the fourth to the fence, the latter taking him to the top - past Henry Davids - in the race for the golden bat. Ashwin's first over costs Chennai 16 runs.

Rajasthan reach the 100-run mark in the 13th over, bowled by Bravo. A boundary off Morris helps Rahane complete a well-deserved half century, his third in a row.

However, Jason Holder strikes in his second over, having Samson (11) caught by Suresh Raina at midwicket to end a 33-run stand for the third wicket.

Chennai Super Kings have won the toss and invited Rajasthan Royals to bat first in the first semi-final of the Champions League T20 in Jaipur.

"It's one of those that's not going to change and we will chase whatever they score," reasons captain MS Dhoni. His opposite number, Rahul Dravid, concurs.

"We'd have looked to bowl first as well. But now we will try to score a good total and then defend it," he says.
