VSNL Q2 net up at Rs 91 cr

Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd has recorded 3.29 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 91 crore (Rs 910 million) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2005 as compared to Rs 88.1 crore (Rs 881 million) for the quarter ended September 30, 2004.

According to a release issued by VSNL to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday, the total income increased 18.97 per cent to Rs 961.2 crore (Rs 9.61 billion) in Q2 FY06 from Rs 807.9 crore (Rs 8.07 billion) in Q2 FY05.
