ERP software provider Teledata Informatics is close to acquiring 75 per cent stake in Thailand-based NOLP for $2.2 million, even as the Chennai-based company has forayed into Voice over Internet Protocol business for long distance communication.

"We are in talks with NOLP and close to acquiring the company, specialising in content development, computer-aided manufacturing simulation and learning management systems," TIL managing director K Padmanabhan said in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The remaining 25 per cent would be held by the Thai government, he said, adding NOLP employs 400 people and is headquartered in Bangkok.

NOLP was floated as national online training programme under the National Science and Technology Development Agency of Thailand and is a marketing partner for TIL's web-based education information manager for the last three years, he said.

TIL is also on the look out for more acquisitions in the US and Europe. The company expects to post a revenue growth of $32 million through acquisitions, he said.

However, he did not divulge the details of the company's acquisition plans. Earlier, Padmanabhan said TIL is foraying into VoIP business through its Singapore-based subsidiary Insoft Systems. The company has also tied up with ETCSA of Cuba for termination of calls.
