Reliance Energy Ltd has posted a 44.42 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 128.13 crore (Rs 1.28 billion) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2004 as against Rs 88.83 crore (Rs 8.8 billion) in the same period last fiscal.
The board has announced an interim dividend of Rs 1.10 per share for the second quarter, REL said.
The total income for the reporting quarter rose by 8.66 per cent to Rs 878.55 crore (Rs 8.78 billion) as against Rs 808.5 crore (Rs 8.08 billion) in July-September 2003.
