BEST, Mumbai's power distributor, has lowered tariff for its consumers following the tariff reduction by its bulk power provider Tata Power Company.
"We have passed on the reduction of power tariff rates by Tata Power Company to our consumers by brining down the Fuel Adjustment Charge in tariff to 0.72 paise per unit from Rs 1.12 per unit," a BEST official said in Mumbai on Saturday.
The lowering in rates would result in reduction of power bills to the tune of Rs 13 crore for the 8.5 lakh BEST consumers in the city.
