NIIT inks pact with Chinese co

IT solutions major NIIT Technologies has tied up with Powerise IT, a leading Chinese software company, to jointly address the emerging software market.

The MoU was formally signed between the senior functionaries of NIIT and Powerise, according to an NIIT release in Mumbai on Tuesday.

"We are impressed by NIIT Technologies' global experience of working with large multinational customers and its domain expertise in finance, transportation and retail sectors," chairman, Powerise, Larry Ding said on the occasion.

NIIT Technologies founder and chairman Rajendra S Pawar said, "This MoU will strengthen the enduring four-year relationship between NIIT Technologies and Powerise into the next phase to jointly explore and address the vast software opportunity."

NIIT and Powerise have an ongoing relationship to offer software education in China. The two companies will build on their strengths through this MoU with NIIT Technologies bringing in software project management expertise.

In addition, NIIT Technologies will offer its experience in executing large software projects for global organisations using high level of software process maturity.

NIIT Technologies and Powerise will jointly engage and participate in brand building activities, the release added.
