Mastek to invest Rs 27 cr in Pune centre

Software solutions provider Mastek would set up its second development centre in Pune at a cost of Rs 27 crore (Rs 270 million).

The new centre has a seating capacity of 550 professionals and is spread over 55,000 square feet area. With the new centre, the Pune facilities would have a head count of about 775 professionals, Mastek said in a release in Mumbai.

"We have been adding capacity in Mumbai and Pune and have acquired land in Chennai keeping in mind the growth we expect in the years to come," Mastek chairman Ashank Desai said.

Mastek has recently signed memorandum of understanding to acquire 15.5 acres of land at Mahindra City in Chennai to set up its sixth development centre in India, its first outside Maharashtra.
