Ace Indian cueist Sourav Kothari clinched the 2025 IBSF World Billiards title after an emphatic victory over multiple-time winner Pankaj Advani in the final in Carlow, Ireland.
Veteran Alok Kumar and national snooker champion Manan Chandra were included among the probables for the 8-ball and 9-ball pool events at the Doha Asian Games in December.
The 23-year-old was runner-up at the Junior National snooker championship.
The other members of the team are Sourav Kothari of Kolkata and Aditya Mehta of Mumbai.
Pankaj Advani continued his surge in the World Billiards Championship (time format), making it to the semi-finals with a 916-665 victory over compatriot Rupesh Shah, in Leeds, on Tuesday, while Balachandra Bhaskar shocked Singapore's Peter Gilchrist.
