Devika Rotawan, a survivor of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, has demanded the death penalty for Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a key accused extradited from the US. Rotawan, a key witness in the case, identified terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Kasab in court during the trial. She believes the extradition is a "big win" for India and called for further action against other conspirators in Pakistan.
Manish Malhotra's show, held at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, was a grand celebration of India's indomitable courage and its rich heritage and culture.
This is the second time that Rotawan, now 23 years old, has approached the court.
A ten-year-old girl, who was disabled after being seriously injured in the terror attack on Mumbai on November 26 last year, on Wednesday identified arrested terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, as one of the two men who had fired indiscriminately at passengers inside the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Devika was among the three witnesses to depose before the court regarding the terror strike at the CST rail terminus.
'If we have to restrict and fight terrorism, first and foremost, we have to ensure communal harmony in the country.'
"Will never be able to forget that night," say Dr N P Vaswani and Devika Rotawan who both stared death in the face when Pakistani terrorists entered the city and opened fire at multiple spots.
In the audio clip, he is heard directing the attack on Chabad House during Mumbai 26/11 terror attacks.
