A sportsperson career only lasts a while. As tennis and fashion is always linked therefore most of the players switch their rackets for designer pens.

Legendary tennis players like Fred Perry and Rene Lacoste turned their love of fashion and made it into a brand.

Now, World No 3 Andy Murray is all set to launch his own line of clothing in the US, possibly following the footsteps of fellow-Wimbledon champion Fred Perry.

Will Sharapova turn designer?


The glam queen of tennis Maria Sharapova signed a record $70 million endorsement deal with Nike.

Will Sharapova turn her talent to forging her own brand or stay within the Nike family? Only time will tell.

Murray's advisers feel there is a gap in the market because the US doesn't have its own male tennis superstar and want him to own a fashion line like the iconic brand of shirts and items bearing the name of his predecessor as Perry.

Sources close to Murray said that showbiz guru Simon Fuller is ready to turn him into a global figure like David Beckham and is convinced the US is the best place to start.

Williams' sisters breathed new life into women's fashion

The Williams sisters breathed new life into women’s tennis fashion in the early 21st century.

Venus Williams started her brand called EleVen which features a form-fitting dress, tops, bottoms and crop-top style bras.

The 31 year-old holds a degree in Fashion Design and said she has always wanted to design ready-to-wear and sports apparel.

Having won seven Grand Slam singles titles, Venus has brought her passion for tennis to the drawing board.
