Rajkot based Eagle Travels has launched 'Club-one' luxury bus service on Ahmedabad-Rajkot-Ahmedabad route. A redesigned Volvo, the interiors of the bus look like that of an aircraft with personal entertainment for passengers. The bus is also fitted with a coffee-machine, a microwave and a refrigerator. With all these comfort and frills, this will be the costliest bus ride in the country with a fare of Rs 1100 per person.

The latest to join the bandwagon is Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh, whose insights into road safety are rather interesting. Singh has stirred up a fresh controversy by blaming "girlfriends, bikes and mobile phones" for the rising cases of road accidents in the state. He was adressing a seminar on 'Road Safety' at a medical institute, in Raipur.
