Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who is in prison as an undertrial in a disproportionate assets case, stepped out of Hyderabad's Chanchalguda jail to cast his vote at the Andhra Pradesh assembly in the ongoing presidential elections.

Significantly, the YSR Congress chief, and his 17 newly elected MLAs and MPs voted for United Progressive Alliance's presidential nominee Pranab Mukherjee.

The Central Bureau of Investigation arrested Jaganmohan Reddy on May 27 following interrogation for three consecutive days. However, the YSR Congress Party swept the crucial by-polls to 18 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh while Jagan was in jail.
