Three Indians were among 58 people killed in a bomb explosion in Iraq's Karbala city two days ago, government said in Delhi on Monday.
The three, hailing from Mumbai, were part of a 12-member group on a pilgrimage to the Shia holy place.
The deceased were identified as Hussein Rampurwala, Aun Mahabaleswarwala and Mohd Mahabaleswarwala, External Affairs Ministry spokesman Navtej Sarna said.
The bodies of the deceased were buried in Karbala on Sunday, he said adding, it was done as per the wishes of their families and the usual religious practice of burying pilgrims there in case of their death in Karbala.
There are no reports of injuries sustained by any other Indian national in the blast.
A suicide car bomber detonated his payload on a crowded street near a revered Shiite shrine on Saturday, killing at least 58 people and wounding nearly 160 others.

A decision was taken to stamp all visas given for Iraq's neighbouring countries like Kuwait and Jordan with 'not valid for Iraq', but Indians have been travelling there illegally.
