Shah Rukh Khan to go into rehab

Shah Rukh Khan, who is going to perform at the IIFA awards this weekend, is still struggling with his knee injury.

'knee not very good. degenerated in several places. will still try and do some dancing at iifa...will have to go in for rehab etc as soon as i get bak from holidays with kids. had a great dinner with anubhav..was lovely to meet the beautiful tabu after so long. then coffee with ritesh and his wife dolly and zoya...have had an evening full of positive loving people surround me,' SRK tweeted, referring to his Ra.One director Anubhav Sinha, Don producer Ritesh Sidhwani, his wife Dolly and Farhan Akhtar's sister Zoya.

Later, SRK added: 'in hospital getting my knee taped up. feeling awful not being fully fit for iifa...as is attending after so many years. sweet guys wizandre and team...will try and do my best. toronto knee or not here i come !!!'

It was reported Karan Johar was planning to remake national award winning Malayalam film Adaminde Makan Abu with Shah Rukh Khan as the lead and the film supposed to be shot in Haj. But the director denied the reports. In fact, he is in London to acquire the rights of a French film.

'On record...am NOT planning the remake of the acclaimed malyalam film...actually in london to acquire the rights of a superb french film!! If all goes well the french film will translate beautifully into an indian love story..can't wait to get it going..watch this space for more' he tweeted.

He also clarified that the title of his Imran-Kareena starrer movie isn't Short term shaadi.

'Short term shaadi is NOT the title of our IMRAN-KAREENA starrer..awaiting the confirmation of a fun title from a famous song...keep u posted,'

As for Student Of The Year, he is feeling nervous. 'Also...will announce the release date for AGNEEPATH in a week.... STUDENT OF THE YEAR...kickstarts mid AUG...and will release mid 2012...am directing after 2 years!! Nervous and excited,' he added later.

As wishes started pouring in for the Bachchan family, legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar and Shah Rukh Khan were'nt left behind tweeted their wishes too to soon-to-be-grandfather Amitabh Bachchan.

Lata Mangeshkar tweeted: '@SrBachchan namaskar amitji,abhishek,aishwarya,jayaji aur aap ko bahot bahot badhai.'

SRK also showered his love on the Bachchan family. '@SrBachchan...sir mubarak ho...phir se Dada ho gaya hum sab ka.'

Bipasha Basu is having a good time in Yorkville, Canada. She posted a picture (left) where she flaunted her shades and hat. 'Walking around yorkville! My fav place!Lovely cafes n awesome restaurants!,' she wrote with the picture.

Sonakshi Sinha tweeted a picture from last year's IIFA. 'Dabangg unveiled at iifa last year...so was I! Goin bak to whr it all started- toronto here I come!' she wrote.

Anupam Kher, on the other hand, posted a picture of him with Salman Rushdie and Michael Ondaje. 'With two of the most Prolific writers of our times. Salman Rushdie and Michael Ondaje (English Patient)' he tweeted.
