PIX: Amitabh Bachchan celebrates I-Day with Bal Thackeray

Amitabh Bachchan paid a visit to Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray at his residence 'Matoshree' in Bandra East, a suburban Mumbai, on August 15.

The 86-year-old Shiv Sena patriarch was admitted to a hospital last month for eight days after he complained of breathing problems. His condition is stable now.

Uddhav Thackeray and his wife Rashmi were also present.

Last year, Thackeray had demanded that Bachchan be conferred with the country's highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, and also called the actor the last 'Shahenshah' of Bollywood.
