A statue of iconic Indian filmmaker Satyajit Ray [ Images ] was recently unveiled in Melbourne [ Images ], Australia [ Images ] in honour of his extraordinary contribution to cinema.Paul Cox, award-winning Australian filmmaker unveiled the statue in the presence of India [ Images ]n Consul General S K Behera at the Australia India Institute building.
The ceremony was followed by the screening of Apur Sansar, one of the films in Ray's famous Apu trilogy.
