Ace cinematographer Rajeev Ravi made his debut as a director with the critically acclaimed film, Annayum Rasoolum, last year. The film had Fort Kochi as its backdrop and starred Fahadh Faasil and Andrea Jeremiah.
Now he is ready with Njan Steve Lopez, releasing today (Aug 8). The film launches Farhan Faasil, Fahadh’s younger brother. He is playing a youngster named Steve Lopez, the son of a police constable. The story is set in Thiruvananthapuram.
Ahaana Krishnakumar, the daughter of actor Krishnakumar, also makes her debut as Steve’s neighbor and romantic interest, Anjali.
Rajeev, who has completed shooting Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet, has gone on record saying that the film’s story is not just about the lead pair’s romance.
Pappu is the cinematographer and Shahabaz Aman is the music director.
