Vidyut JammwalEvery bit of information about the Ajith-starrer Billa 2, a sequel to his highly successful Billa, is making news.

After selecting former Miss World runner-up Parvathi Omanakkuttan for the lead role, the film's director, Chakri, has signed Vidyut Jammwal as the antagonist to Ajith's Billa.

Vidyut played the villain in Nishikant Kamath's Hindi film Force, a remake of Gautham Vasudev Menon's Kaakha Kaakha. Just as Jeevan made a name for himself in Kaakha Kaakha, Vidyut's debut in the Hindi version was termed equally sensational.

Vidyut has also worked with Junior NTR in two Telugu films this year -- Shakti and Oosaraveli

A national-level
gymnast, Vidyut started training in Kalaripayattu at the age of three. He is also trained in jujitsu and kung-fu.

On playing the villain in Billa 2, Vidyut said, "It is like a dream to be making my debut in the Tamil film industry with Ajith Sir. I am delighted to be a part of the Billa franchise and can't wait to start work on the film."

Billa 2 finished its first 30-day schedule in Hyderabad and Vizag and the second schedule in Goa lasted for 39 days. In the third week of November, the unit will leave for Georgia for the final 20-day schedule of the film.

The film is being readied for release in April 2012.
