Parvathy Omanakuttan, the first runner-up at the Miss World 2008 competition, replaces Huma Quereshi to become Ajith's heroine in the Tamil film, Billa 2. It is said that due to the delays in the beginning of the Goa schedule of the film, Huma's dates became an issue and she opted out of the film.Chakri Toleti, the director of Billa 2, said, "It was not a glamorous Bond girl that we wanted as the leading lady. It is a role that demands talent and we found that Parvathy had that talent. For
glamour, we have other girls in the film."
Bruna Abdullah, model, television host and actress of Brazilian and Arabian origin, has been selected for another role in the film.
Billa 2 finished its first 30-day schedule in Hyderabad and Vizag in July and August. The second schedule is currently going on in Goa and will continue till the first fortnight of November. Thereafter, the unit will leave for Georgia in Eastern Europe for the final schedule.
The film is expected to complete principal photography by the first fortnight of December and is being readied for release in April 2012.
