The current market rally has lifted the market capitalisation of 32 companies above the Rs 10,000 crore (Rs 100 billion) mark.

In the January-February rally, which was the second time this year that the Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex crossed the 6,000-mark, 27 firms had seen their valuations soar past Rs 10,000 crore.

Besides the newly-listed Tata Consultancy Services and National Thermal Power Corporation, which entered into this league on the listing day itself, four others have made the grade.

This include Grasim Industries, HCL Technologies, Larsen & Toubro and Reliance Energy.

Dr Reddy's Laboratories moved out of the club as its m-cap has almost halved down to Rs 5,939 crore (Rs 59.39 billion) on November 17 from Rs 11,087 crore (Rs 110.87 billion) on January 2, 2004.

While Grasim's m-cap has risen from Rs 9,686 crore (Rs 96.86 billion) on January 2 to Rs 10,331 crore (Rs 103.31 billion), the m-cap of HCL Technologies increased from Rs 9,264 crore (Rs 92.64 billion) to Rs 10,675 crore (Rs 106.75 billion).

The m-cap of L&T rose to Rs 10,672 crore (Rs 106.72 billion) from Rs 6,680 crore (Rs 66.8 billion) and Reliance Energy's m-cap jumped up from Rs 9,696 crore (Rs 96.96 billion) to Rs 11,684 crore (Rs 116.84 billion).
