Toll free number for board exam students

Are you feeling the jitters of the board exam? Is your child upset or stressed about his preparation? Don't know what to do?

You may now call on 1860 266 2345 toll free and seek help for your problem by talking to a counsellor.

And if you are in Mumbai, you can also call 022-25706000 and avail of the service any time in a day.

Calls made to the number are absolutely confidential, anonymous and free of cost.

The helpline for students, which was inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in October 2011, is a collaborative effort of the Vandrevala Foundation, Emmanuel Hospital Association (EHA), St. Stephen's Hospital and the Mar Thoma Church.

The helpline offers 24x7 service and assistance from expert counsellors who are trained to handle the students and parents.

The counsellors would also call back the students for follow-up assistance.

The helpline follows a three-tier system.

Clinical psychologists trained in counselling are primary call takers. Calls are escalated to trained psychiatrists depending on their severity. In extreme cases, calls are passed on to the senior and empanelled psychiatrists.

Who can call?

Students, parents, teachers--any one who wants seek help or counselling can call the helpline.
