Former head of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church and the longest-serving bishop in India Dr Philipose Mar Chrysostom died of age-related ailments on Wednesday, a church spokesman said.
He further warned that the time was not apt to "let our guard down".
Pravin M Varughese, 19, a student of Southern Illinois University, who had been missing for a week, was found dead on February 18.
