Few years ago, I was living in Noida.

One day, I went to the Noida Sector 10 ICICI bank ATM to withdraw some cash.

When I inserted my card in the slot and carried out the transaction, the ATM did not dispense any cash. It displayed (the message) 'Unable to dispense cash.'

Disappointed with the situation, I cancelled the transaction. However, my card did not come out of the machine.

I asked the guard present about it.

He said, "It is a normal problem." When I asked him for a solution, he said that I will have to contact my bank's branch.

It was so unfortunate as I didn't have any money and my card was also stuck in the ATM machine.

Out of anger, I punched the ATM machine twice. All of a sudden, my ATM card came out of the card slot.

I was so relieved at that moment as I now had the option of withdrawing money from some other ATM.

I think sometimes, these ATMs need thrashing to work properly.
